So I ve had Netbeans 13 for a long time at autosave every 0 mins and it saved at every keystroke as I wanted it to. So I tried to do the same in 14 but it didnt work. I thought I d check -maybe it was a serendipitous little bug so I went to my 13 and set it to 1 minutes and back to 0 minutes and it s not working as I want it in 13 now either.
Was it indeed a little bug -if so could I recreate it purposfully?- Is it not supposed to work like that from the beggining?
Ultimately what I care about is how can I have Netbeans autosave at every keystroke?
-Updates
-ok, so I just tried Netbeans 13 with a backup of a "--userdir" that worked as I wanted -autosave at every keystroke-
and it still does but how can I actually reproduce it if it s a bug or how can I set it properly if it can be done?
-So I just used the autosave.properties from the the backup in both 13 and 14 and it does autosave even though the content has nothing different.
-Turns out I might ve also recreated this by manually changing the value in the autosave.properties (autoSaveInterval) -first save as 1 for example then as 0. All while netbeans is closed. Then just open and it does again autosave as I want it! -I think?!
-To be perfectly acurate it s not "exactly" every keystroke it s more like 0.smthing seconds I m guessing but that s what I wanted
-Netbeans 14 works but stops autosaving after a while(or something/event) "it does however work if I simply close and reopen it".
