Description
Purpose
This issue will coordinate and document the planning and execution of our on-site presence at API Days Paris 2025. It will serve as the central hub for collaboration, tracking, and ensuring seamless participation at the event.
About the Conference

Audience: Adopters, implementers, leaders, and innovators from across the JSON Schema Ecosystem

Goals
Community Engagement
Foster meaningful in-person interactions with community members, contributors, and newcomers.
Project Visibility
Amplify awareness of JSON Schema through our booth presence, branded materials, and engaging presentations.
Adoption and Sponsorship
Attract prospective adopters, contributors, and sponsors interested in supporting the project.
Innovation
Facilitate deep-dive discussions on challenges and future directions of JSON Schema.
Accessibility and Inclusion
Ensure our presence is inclusive to all participants including Deaf/Hard of Hearing and Blind/Visually Impaired attendees through proactive accessibility efforts at the booth and presentations.
Action Plan (Checklist)
Pre-Conference Planning
- Update the conference website
- Update all tabs in the site and accompanying content
Promotion Plan
- Socials (Slack, Twitter/X, LinkedIn)
- OpenCollective
- Promote CFP, especially from underrepresented voices (Deaf/ Hard of Hearing, Blind / Visually impaired etc)
CFP & Schedule
- Support community members with CFP submissions
Partners & Coordination (APIdays and AsyncAPI)
Merch / Swag
- Decide items (e.g., stickers, shirts, pins, braille cards)
- Assign someone to handle this (anyone can self assign too)
Define attending team & roles

Booth Setup
- QR Code to JSON Schema Adopters Form
- QR Code to link to a short overview of JSON Schema project pdf (important for Deaf/hard of hearing)
- QR Code to join our community
- Notebooks and pen for communications (important for Deaf/hard of hearing)
- Braille info cards or stickers
- Tools
- Install various translation(for languages, speech to text app, deaf note app and live captioning apps (for HOH)
Interactive Activity / Raffle
- Decide prize

Accessible Booth Elements
- Braille info cards or stickers
Presentation Setup (and Accessibility Integration)
- Submit slide decks early to enable captioning
- Provide transcripts for talks
- Request live CART captions if available (this may be pricey )
- Use large font sizes and high contrast in slides
- Ask organizers for accessibility support options
On-Site Execution
- Run the booth
- Distribute swag
- Collect metrics:
- Booth visitors
- New community members that joined via QR Code
- Raffle participants
- Feedback on accessibility
Post-Conference Wrap-Up
- Share blog report and photos
