self contained examples

I want to test the waters with rust on stm32 and looking at the examples: everything seems to be in place.

As a total rust-newbie however I find it difficult to get started. I managed to get the blinky running, but only by using a cargo.toml from another blog. The cargo.toml from here is .. overwhelming (at least for me as a newbie).

Why not create a dedicated cargo.toml for each example?
