I'm chatting with my colleague about it, who has already received a fair amount of spam in the last week (before it's even begun), on a repo where he's added the label. I'd be happy for folks to be rewarded for well done PRs, but am a bit worried about spam management. I think if we did it, we would label both the repo and the issues, to try to narrow the scope to manageable reviews. I still manually test and review most PRs, since the CI tests can't catch everything. |

With GitHub Copilot now able to help with PRs, code reviews, issue raising, and so on, I thought I'd make a modest suggestion: How about participating in Hacktoberfest this year?
It could be a nice way to welcome new contributors and get help with open issues or ideas. If maintainers are interested, maybe we could add the
hacktoberfest
topic on the project.Just putting this out there for discussion! Happy to hear what others think.
