IMDRC Logs - Get Informed about the latest incorrect malware detections that may affect you

Windows Defender, annoyingly, chooses to flag programs like this one as "malware" simply because they don't have a code signing certificate. This may happen at random times, and this probability is because I am constantly submitting the software to the WDSI team for a second opinion on their guesses.

Well, guess who is tired of doing that? Me! That's why I decided to automate it with a Power Automate flow called IMDRC (Incorrect Malware Detection Response Center). Logs are stored as comments that are written by this flow on my behalf.

These false-positive detections typically happen when updating to a newer version of DISMTools, as I do checks to make sure the update process goes smoothly when releasing a new version and, effectively, do all the hard work for you. To avoid any problems when you do it, stay informed.

When testing updates to the latest version of DISMTools, the following incorrect malware detection was made by Windows Defender:

• Threat Name: "Trojan:Script/Wacatac.C!ml"
• Virus Signature version on which the false-positive was detected: 1.435.486.0
• Platform this false-positive was detected on: Windows 8

The latest version was uploaded to the WDSI team for analysis. Please check for virus definition updates before applying this update.
