Did you try out the session feature of NI's BAM Converter? Session files are text files with frame, center, cycle and filter definitions. |

Ooh, I have now, and I see NI already does what I want! It supports local file paths to PNGs as frame refs so I can easily sub one or more frames and rebuild. Cheers, and closing the thread. |

@CamDawg Argent77/NearInfinity@eccabf0 made some improvements to the BAM session file format. It can be tested in the nightly release. |

I've found myself updating more and more BAMs recently, which in the past I've done by using bammer or Sam.'s PS_BAM to convert BAMs into PNGs and then recombine them after edits.
Lately I've been leaning on NI more and more, since being able to see direct visual feedback--both in the editor and hopping into a game--has made the process a lot faster. Let's say, apropos of nothing, that I'm going to do some edits of a weapon animation. Here's my ideal workflow:
And to save myself another thread, one other BAM-related request: the ability to straight up replace a frame in the BAM editor. I can add a frame and remove the old one, but then I have to update any cycles that reference the frame.
