SelfControl eating up my RAM

Hi,
I experimented with adding about 10K block sites and while the blocking is working good; the app is suddenly eating up my RAM a lot (~1GB) making my Macbook extremely slow and its heating up a lot as well.

I am using SelfControl v4.0.3 and MacOS Monterey 12.0.1

Any way to fix it or is it expected?
