Can I use my location from gpsd daemon with MacOS?

Hey,

I have a 5G router installed in my car which exposes location information with gpsd for the connected clients. Could I somehow tell GoMap to use this location instead of the Apple default wifi sniffing based location guestimate?

On iOS if you pair an iPhone with an external GPS device over Bluetooth then the iPhone transparently uses the device for GPS updates rather than its built in GPS. My understanding is that macOS behaves the same way, so if there is a way to connect the router via Bluetooth then it may just magically work. If you can provide the model of your router I might be able to give more relevant information.

Thanks for the answer and it's good to know that this could be possible.

My router (gl-inet.com GL-X3000) sadly doesn't seem to support bluetooth and I need to figure out something else or to buy a a bluetooth usb dongle.

I read some posts that say the Bluetooth approach no longer works with recent versions of macOS.
