Software purchasers and project sponsors wish to determine which software packages to select, and in doing so wish to determine the cost of extending a project, the long term prospects for the project, such as whether other external organisations and developers will continue to develop and extend the project. Question: Can we derive a correlation between characteristics of an email list, and the long term viability of a project?
