Is it possible to have a better editor, as editing the yaml directly is not practical? I think it's more like a kind of button that you click and that opens a configurator with the properties of each element that you can add, remove or modify.

A critical consideration here is that people have their own needs when it comes to system monitoring and the kinds of information they need in eyeshot. Part of the magic of the turing-smart-screen-python project is that this control is given to the user.

With a WYSIWYG theme editor, everyone has to eat the same thing for lunch every single day. That's fine for some and if that's preferred then good news -- the screens come with one. If it wasn't in the box, the manufacturer provides instructions on how to obtain and use it.

Can I ask what isn't practical about altering YAML? People do it every day. If it's a matter of pixel locations and the height and width of things then that's available here (with the included theme-editor.py tool).
