Unable to create user

I’ve installed the application via Docker, and everything appears to be running correctly. However, when I attempt to sign in / sign up with my email address, I receive the following error message:

“Weird! Can you make sure your email is correct?”

I’ve double-checked my email address and even tried several different accounts and providers, but the issue persists. For reference, the contact form is able to send messages successfully using the SMTP settings in my .env file, so I’m confident that email delivery is configured properly.

I also tested GitHub and Google sign-up/sign-in options, but neither of those methods worked either.

Could you help me identify what might be causing this login error? Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Can you tell if you see any errors on the wapydev-app container logs while you sign in? This error is mostly related to SMTP configuration error, which the logs would give more info on the error.

I also tested GitHub and Google sign-up/sign-in options, but neither of those methods worked either.

I also noticed this and created a fix on the dev branch. It will be released soon. These also don't work on the prod site.

Please create an issue to follow up with the logs. I'm gonna close this discussion.
