MCP in responses api

Hi,
how can i test out MCP client with the Responses api? will this be available anew nuget package (in 2.2.0 beta5)?
Or is there another way I can test this?

@testermax did you find a way to do this? It doesn't seem like it's supported in dotnet yet without doing workaround like making functions out of the tool definitions from the MCP server.

Hi I did not chase this, I was actually going to leave this sdk and solve it via the native API instead, since it seemed more or less abandoned. But suddenly something happened and now Im hoping for a release in the near fututure, which has this feature. Fingers crossed 🤞

I also want an explicit MCP tool feature.

(Manually converting MCP tool definitions to ResponseAPI functions and implementing handlers is an interesting workaround though..)

I have it working through doing what you mentioned. There is a sample in the github source for the package. It is a bit wonky to implement, but it works.
