WARNING: v3.10.0 handles bytes wrongly in bit requests/responses !

This is solve with PR #2707

Since the bug fix causes an API change, it cannot be released as v3.10.0 but will be v3.11.0

v3.11.0 will be released today or tomorrow, sorry for the inconvenience (and thanks to @nicholas-a-guerra who reported the problem).

@janiversen Since it was discovered so quickly, I'd recommend yanking 3.10.0.

I am trying to, but it seems I only have role=maintainer in pypi which is not sufficient

Anyhow thanks for the hint, I was unaware of this possibility.
