  • So first the multi octave noise function was applied to outer atmosphere both as a cloudy fragment shader and a displacement vertex shader that pulses with time.
  • A inner sphere with noise combined with a gradient shader was made to give the outer look of the red planet that changes with the camera movement.
  • A core was create with a black flat shader in the center.
  • A texture was applied to an outer sphere to give the galaxy with stars background.
  • A control value was added to the GUI to modify the amount of atmosphere or protection present for the planet.
