ROI limit for intensity plot

Should it be possible for the number of ROI's for Intensity Plot be configurable to a number greater than 5.
We have use cases which require more the 5 ROI's.

In the display builder, the axes, traces, ROIs, .. are arrays without artificial limits.
In BOY, there's really a fixed list of properties with magic names like xx_0, xx_1, xx_2, .. to get an array of xx. This means the array size is limited, and even unused array elements do use space.
So going from 5 to 50 ROIs might be a problem for those who don't actually use the ROI at all, but now need more memory and maybe CPU.
Still, going from 5 to say 8 should be fine.
