Someone tried to include recent information in the English Wikipedia, but it got reverted:

Regarding things you want on the wiki page, make sure there are public resources that confirm the information, which can be used as a citation. For the authors, I'm sure there is a an AUTHORS file (https://github.com/JabRef/jabref/blob/master/AUTHORS) which could be cited, but something like getting a DOI for releases on ZENODO would not be a bad idea!

The source for developers is https://github.com/JabRef/jabref/blob/master/DEVELOPERS. It was only stated at the diff message, not in the page itself. Maybe next time, that should be included in the page itself...

This is why I do not edit in Wikipedia ;-)

Before you can make even slight improvements you have to read tons of documents explaining what are best-practices, requirements for edits etc.
