SLAPS

SLAPS is a live-string reading system consisting of an array of dots with on/off values in which the different combinations represent alphanumeric characters. These characters are display through the set of dots one after the other at a specified rate to represent words and sentences.

Through memorization of these combinations, one can eventually read a string of text as it is being created (for example as someone speaks).

This is the original version of SLAPS and of it's character system.

This repository includes a demonstrator of this concept using a web page on a local server that you can initialize on your machine.

Run the demonstrator

npm update & npm start
