libosxunwind-0.0.1-rc3.tar.gz missing?

I was running "$ make -C deps getall" and it was running just fine until it tried to grab libosxunwind-0.0.1-rc3.tar.gz , for which I got a 403 error. See end of transcript at .https://gist.github.com/ArchRobison/aadd4b0151f14917665f .

Indeed my browser says https://codeload.github.com/JuliaLang/libosxunwind/tar.gz/archive/v0.0.1-rc3.tar.gz does not exist.

Is there a work-around? I'm buliding for Linux, not OSX.

That seems like an excessively specific URL: https://github.com/JuliaLang/libosxunwind/archive/v0.0.1-rc3.tar.gz (the link from the Releases page) looks like it works just fine.

Regardless of whether that link works or not, the question is still whether getall should download it al all.

Yeah, I got distracted by a couple of things. Good point that it shouldn't need to grab it for this system. At any rate the URL I posted is the one in the gist--I'm not sure where the codeload.github.com URL came from in the first place.

GitHub has had some DDoS-related outages the past couple of days and I wonder if the failure was related?

make getall has tended towards downloading everything (except git subrepos). To that end, it should be part of make getall, until we make it conditional on OS such that make getall OS=myplatform works. But then there's the question of whether USE_SYSTEM_XXX should still download excess binaries and it quickly becomes not worthwhile.

The same issue appear to have happened to another project last month: wbond/package_control#551 . It was a failure on GitHub's end (probably due to a DDoS attack at the time).

Closed because it doesn't appear to be an error that we can fix. And it seems to work again. Reopen if it seems to still be broken.
