Put commit hash in --version output?

would it be a lot of work to put the commit hash into the output of the --version string? That would be an easy way for me to see if I have an up to date version installed.

The lua-language-server.exe is just a LuaVM, it cannot handle --version.
How did you install this extension?

Display commit hash should be implemented by the client is relatively simple, the server temporarily only provides displaying the version number
