GitHub Pod Parsing

I'm pretty new to the community, so I don't know if this was brought up in the past....

GitHub doesn't parse P6 pod and shows errors when viewing docs in this repo. I contacted GitHub and this was their response:

Hi ZZ,

It's not possible to disable it, but the implementation we use is open source1. We'd love to discuss ideas for supporting .pod in both Perl 5 and Perl 6. Is there a way to detect if a pod file is targeting a specific version?

So if we could come up with some way to disambiguate between P5 and P6 pods, we could fix the issues in the repo (as well as any potential P6 modules that use P6 pod).

👍. I was asking about it earlier in #perl6. Here is the file that does perl5 pod processing in github:

As @Skarsnik mentioned on irc, why not use the .pod6 extension? Or couldn't you just require a v6 pragma? Lastly, there's always gitattributes!

Per the github/markup ticket, they could use someone from our team to make a PR:

You're certainly more than welcome to perform a PR with tests, and update the .travis.yml file so that our CI test suite verifies that Perl6 documentation is being generated.
