This is a chrome://sign-in webview (exploit) for people that get "This account is not allowed to sign in within this network." if they try an email that isn't under their school's domain (AllowedDomainsForApps).
-> This only works in the UK.
-> You will need to be able to connect to EE Wifi.
-> You can almost certainly do this exploit with any captive portal, provided it can be used to get to Google/YouTube.
- Go to chrome://chrome-signin/
- Connect to EE Wifi. Wait until it shows "Sign in to network".
- Keep reloading the sign-in page until it DOESN'T immediately show a "Connect to EE Wifi". It should load for a while instead of saying "Connect to EE Wifi".
- After a while, the page will finish loading, showing "Your connection is not private". Type in "thisisunsafe".
- Congrats! You should now be on an EE page, which means you've sorted out the tricky bit of this webview. Accept all cookies.
- Click "Buy Now". You can click any of them.
- Change your Wifi back.
- Click the EE icon at the top left of the page. You will be at EE's hotspot home page.
- Scroll to the bottom. You will see that you can go to the EE STORE. Click "Shop now". If EE STORE doesn't work, use the alternate steps provided under this section.
- You will now be at the EE STORE home page. Accept all cookies.
- Scroll to the bottom and click "Privacy policy" - this is under the Information header at the right.
- Click "Please click here to view the BT Privacy Policy."
- You will now be at BT's privacy policy page. Accept all cookies.
- Click "Contact BT" at the bottom of the page - it's at the bottom left.
- At the bottom of this BT page, click the SMALL Youtube icon - it's at the bottom right.
- You are now on YouTube! You're very close. Click "Accept all".
- In Youtube's sidebar, click "Privacy".
- Scroll to the bottom of Google's privacy page.
- Click the small Google text.
- Click "Accept Cookies" on Google's search page and you have successfully completed the instructions of this webview.
- Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to go forward and backward pages. This will probably come in handy! If you want more than one tab, you'll need to perform this webview again on another chrome sign-in page.
- Do Steps 1 to 8 above.
- Click the "Find out more" button below "WiFi for business from BT".
- Scroll to the bottom of the BT page. Click "Cookie policy".
- Click the large "Privacy Policy" button on this Terms & Conditions page.
- You will now be at BT's privacy policy page. Accept all cookies and continue from step 14 above.
-> This webview works as of June 9th 2025 (chromeOS v136).
