I'm definitely interested in contributing, particularly to a wasm playground, but I'd also be happy to help organize the site's content. In particular I think the website generally just does a poor job conveying what wasm actually is, and I'd like to help with that one way or another.

I agree. I think it's a balance of not repeating what is solved well elsewhere already and making the site somewhat self-contained.
