MOTIONERは山口情報芸術センター(YCAM)で行われた共同研究開発プロジェクト、Reactor for Awareness in Motion(RAM)の一環として制作されたローコストの慣性式モーションキャプチャーシステムです。MOTIONERを使用する事で、身体の動きをキャプチャー／記録／再生し、そのデータをOSC(Open Sound Control)メッセージで他のアプリケーションに送信する事ができます。送信されるデータはopenFrameworksをベースとして開発されたRAM Dance Toolkitや、OSCをサポートする多くのクリエイティブコーディング環境で使用する事が可能です。MOTIONERは安藤洋子(ザ・フォーサイス・カンパニー)をはじめとするダンサーとのコラボレーションの中で開発されました。その結果、MOTIONERは軽量で、使用者のストレスが少なく、レイテンシーの少ないシステムになりました。また、慣性式システムの特徴として、衣類の内外を問わず使用する事ができます。
