[7.0.0-M3] bad CPU type in executable: grails

Can't run Grails Forge CLI 7.0.0-M3 on my old MacBook

Steps to Reproduce

1. sdk i grails 7.0.0-M3
2. sdk use grails bad 7.0.0-M3
3. grails --version

Expected Behaviour

Grails Version: 7.0.0-M3
JVM Version: 17.0.9

Actual Behaviour

zsh: bad CPU type in executable: grails

Environment Information

• Operating System: MacOS 11.7.10 (Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4750HQ CPU @ 2.00GHz)
• Grails Version: 7.0.0-M3
• JDK Version: openjdk version "17.0.14" 2025-01-21 LTS

Does it occur on https://github.com/grails/grails-forge/releases/download/v7.0.0-M3/grails-darwin-amd64-v7.0.0-M3.zip. Trying to ensure SDKman provided the x86_64 binary.

@jamesfredley I installed the grails-darwin-amd64-v7.0.0-M3.zip manually later, but got the same error. M1 is working fine.

I think this is the issue:

8563072

renovate[bot]
had auto committed a number of things and this is another one that bit us. That was disabled a few weeks back.

Renovate was set to autocommit (disabled now) and I think macos-14 is running ARM: https://github.com/actions/runner-images/blob/main/images/macos/macos-14-Readme.md

That is great news. That is the second major issue that was caused by renovate[bot] auto committing. I am glad I shut that down.
