@aforsythe: I asked you on Slack but it is probably better to have the conversation here! Can you confirm whether the intent with copy in the aces-dev license was to also cover for distribution and it was made explicit later in the AMPAS update? Cheers, Thomas |

I will merge this one, if anyone has any concerns as the license text does not change the fact the intent behind the ACES Configs was to always distribute them irrespective of whether the distribution was commercial or free, please comment on this issue or reach-out to myself or the Academy. |

The license text I picked from aces-dev is not exactly the same as the AMPAS license which I used for all the SPDX headers:
The main differences are around the concept of distribution that is implicitly assumed with the aces-dev license but explicitly stated in the AMPAS license:
