Daniel is a highly experienced software engineer located in the Seattle area.
He is best known as a long time Ruby developer, the original developer of RGeo and Toys, and frequent speaker at Ruby conferences. He was also the Ruby language lead at Google Cloud for nearly 10 years, the original writer of the Ruby runtimes for Google's serverless products, the tech lead of the team that worked on the Ruby client libraries for Google APIs, and a Ruby developer advocate for the platform in general.
Daniel has also worked professionally in the Erlang/Elixir ecosystem, and has held lead technical positions at Amazon, Google, and a variety of startups.
