SignalR (Client) UWP Background Support

Hello,

Is there any way to run SignalR in the background? The server I need to use only makes SignalR available for notifications.

I tried to configure websocket, but couldn't do it.

We don't currently have UWP Background Support. This is our first time learning of ControlChannelTrigger. We'd be interested in seeing what an implementation of a SignalR client transport that supported this looked like. I'm not promising we'd accept a PR that added support, but we'd consider it.

If you can wrap SocketActivityTrigger in an IDuplexPipe or a Stream, and also do the initial HTTP upgrade to WebSocket (such that the server sees it as a normal WebSocket connection), FlyByWireless.SignalRTunnel.Client may work.
If you can also change server code, see FlyByWireless.SignalRTunnel to use TCP or QuicStream directly without establishing a WebSocket connection.
