There is an opportunity for simplification:
_pendingWindowUpdateis the only state theExtendWindowmethod touches under the lock. There is no other code that reads or writes_pendingWindowUpdateafter the creation of the connection object. Originating fromProcessIncomingFramesAsync, calls toExtendWindoware sequential, and never expected to happen concurrently.
