Not working in windows

Hi, I wonder why it is not doing okay in Windows? I'm using nanoESP32-C3 which should be compatible, but:

Which I can flash correctly with esptool

I've recently been having some issues getting this to work under windows as well
I remember it working under windows at one point, but then I updated and it just broke
I think originally I was using one of the versions prior to 1.x

Based on this link there's currently 5 versions listed

However only versions 1.0.0, 1.0.1, 1.1.0 are tagged / compiled under github

I tried a few different versions to see if I could get back to the one I was using before
But I suspect some of the surrounding libs / tooling may have changed as well.

Versions 0.1.2, 0.1.3

First I tried 0.1.1 but that errored out during install

This works with 0.1.2, 0.1.3

# Get Board info
cargo espflash --board-info COM4

Nearly works with 0.1.2, 0.1.3
The leds flash on the tx / rx, but it reports an error afterwards.

cargo espflash COM4
# reports error
# unable to unlink old fallback exe: Access is denied. (os error 5)

Versions 1.x

First I tried 1.0.0 / 1.0.1 but that errored out during install
Version 1.1.0 installs ok

Again the board info command seems to work

cargo espflash board-info COM4

Although the useage message seems to suggest the subcommand should after the serial port instead of before
so maybe that needs changing

    cargo espflash [FLAGS] [OPTIONS] [SERIAL] [SUBCOMMAND]

Flashing nearly works as before but with the same error

Also had a quick go with the precompiled exe from 1.1.0 from the releases page on github

Conclusion

I think it's getting the board info ok
But I don't think it's actually flashing, maybe stalling out at a board reset or something.
To be clear I'm using a command line run as Administrator to get around any permission related issues

A quick note for anyone trying to use esptool.py instead under windows
Convert elf to binary (output is .bin file)

esptool.py --chip esp32 elf2image target/xtensa-esp32-none-elf/release/blinky

Flash to windows COM port

esptool.py --chip esp32 --baud 115200 --port COM4 --before default_reset --after hard_reset write_flash -z --flash_mode dio --flash_freq 40m --flash_size detect 0x1000 ../bootloader/esp32-bootloader.bin 0x8000 ../bootloader/partitions.bin 0x10000 target/xtensa-esp32-none-elf/release/blinky.bin

with the binary bootloader / partition file taken from this repo

This exact error is printed when you're not in flashing mode, i.e. you didn't restart the device while G0 connected to GND. I don't know if that's your issue (since you're able to flash with esptool) but maybe this can help someone.
