FYI, fully-working 416k (core 2.4.2) sketch jumps to 595k on 2.5.0beta2!!! Suddenly my 1mb * 0.5 OTA headroom just vanished.

Hoping this is just a "beta thing" and will reduce for 2.5.1 or my project just got washed down the drain!

Try with

  • Tools>Exceptions>Disabled
  • Tools>lwIP Variant>v2 Lower Memory (no features)
  • ./tools/boards.txt.py --nofloat --allgen (if you don't use floats)
