Option To Auto Connect Rig At Program Start?

Hello,

I am just starting to use QLog and am finding most of what I am looking for. I am wondering if it is possible to connect the configured (default?) equipment when the program starts? Maybe try multiple times before gracefully dropping the request in case someone is just working in their log book without operating the radio.

Also, would it be possible to consider a new feature (if it isn't already possible) to add custom buttons to the rig widget for a user to change the connected rigs' settings. I have used this before to quickly change power level. Similar to this:

If you look in the activities option in the bottom status bar you can select to auto connect rig. Michael, AA5SH

Click down here on status bar where mine says 'Home'. then click Edit

Then when you edit it on the 'Values' tab you can select radio and Rotator.

If I can speak for Ladislav :) In general the philosophy so far for QLog regarding cat integration is that the app is not a radio control app. It's a logging app and any radio integration should be directly tied to a logging feature requirement.

Of course feel free to open a feature request (in the issues section of github) detailing your desire to add user-defined radio control macro buttons. That way people can vote and express their ideas and someone may work on it.

Thank for the reply and information. I did not know this, but after finding the band and mode drop-down on the rig widget which seems to control the radio, I was hoping this could be added.
