We can also simply remove this files, IMHO.

I figured these could be useful for someone down the line without having to chase git history (works but not discoverable). Moving these under unmaintained/ makes it clear you can ignore those files when doing refactorings ("stays out of the way"). Other unsused but potentially revivable files (including nim ones) could go there too in future.

slight hoarding bias, but I don't feel super strongly about this if case you insist on deleting unmatained/* that'd be ok too
