NPM install fails, node-gyp rebuild seems to fail on file not found

Getting the following error while trying to install the karma javascript test runner using NPM. Is this a node-gyp issue? Any idea how to fix?

@Siraris Are you able to reproduce this on a more recent version of node-gyp?

@maclover7 I have no idea... I submitted this almost 4 years ago. I don't even remember what I was working on at the time.
