This can happen if using the wrong parser to parse, say, an incorrect response from an ESRI WxS server.

For me the intention for this request seems to have the same cause as issue #1177 I would say xmldom can only be null, if window.ActiveXObject is false or if this.xmldom was not set during initialize(). As pointed out in http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ie/dn423948%28v=vs.85%29.aspx window.ActiveXObject can't be used in IE11 anymore! My proposed solution can be found in pull request #1285 |
