Only text output instead of plot #2

Hello,
As I saw that the last update on this gallery was made 4 years ago: Could you confirm, that this still works in 2023?
I was trying to set up a sphinx gallery and using plotly as interactive charts, but despite using the same [hopefully] configuration as in the here given examples, the output of the cell ist an HTML object of the plot instead of the plot itself.
(Where fig_lumi is created via plotly.graph_objects.Figure() )
I am possibly missing something here and would appreciate any help .
