| First, download the [latest release](https://github.com/rails/rails-new/releases/tag/latest) for your operating system. Click on the downloaded `.tar.gz` file to unzip it, which will create the `rails-new` executable. Move the executable into your path so that it is ready to run from the command line. |

@andrewn617 is this link supposed to take me to a page, I'm getting a Github 404 when clicking on it? Edit: Ah sorry, I saw this comment now - "The link currently does work because all the versions are pre-release. It'll work once we release a version". I think you were saying it doesn't work.
