Issue when switching versions

Hi all

We currently have a number (100+) sites that use the Redux Plugin (so thanks for that!) but we're having an issue updating I'm hoping you can help us with.

We're currently on 3.8.1 and are trying to upgrade to the latest WordPress repo version 3.3.8.4. (we had issues previously hence the being so far behind)

The issue seems to be around the slideshow repeating fields we have. When we update the Plugin and try and edit the options the options fail to save, first of all saying that some options were empty, and then after saving the whole slideshow section disappears. If you save again the slide area comes back but is empty. This seems to break the saved options array as the options are no longer recognised by the front end code.

I can reliably recreate the issue so let me know if there is something I can do to better demonstrate and isolate the issue.

There was never a Redux 3.8.1 version, so, not sure what to say about that. Have you tried resetting all your settings, give the DB a nudge with that?

Apologies, 3.1.9 - no idea where that number came from.

Thanks Kevin - yes tried that, the only thing that seems to work is deleting the options array from the database altogether and putting everything back in but I can't ask 100+ users to do that. There are text fields for css and js too so it would be a big job.

Any ideas on debugging it?

Problem is, I am unable to recreate the issue with the supplied code. When @dovy gets back, maybe he'll have an idea.

This is how I recreate -
Set options with V3.1.9 active
Update version to 3.3.8.4

If I save from here it then removes the slideshow and the options array seems to be broken and not recognised by the front end code any more : http://pastebin.com/Zr5RaP0b

I have same issue too.
Well, I tested some cases.

Redux 3.3.6 + WordPress 4.0 works fine.
Redux 3.3.6 + WordPress 4.0.1 issue occurs.
Redux 3.3.6 + WordPress 4.1 issue occurs.
Redux 3.3.9.4 + WordPress 4.0.1 issue occurs.

I found a workaround.

The problem was the $k near if ( $field['type'] == "slides" ) in /ReduxCore/framework.php
Somehow in my environment, this $k was messing around.

I think this is a environment specific issue, so not sending any pull requests,
but for someone has similar situation like me maybe useful.
