The customized Inkscape editor is now deprecated in JSON-SCADA and won't be maintained anymore, it was replaced by the standard Inkscape with SCADA extension.
If you want to build this deprecated editor, follow the instructions below.

Hi @riclolsen,
I’ve tried building this GitLab repo many times(windows). Is there any guide or recommended tools for building it today (like using MSYS)? or any other full source code

Yes, use MSYS.

After installing MSYS and cloning the repo, before compiling install dependencies by running
./buildtools/msys2installdeps.sh
Notice that from time to time compiler updates may break the build, requiring code changes.
