Achieving fast response #6

Hello there. I will be using at least 5 of these sensors through a Sparkfun Mux board. I notice that the time for response is roughly 5ms per sensor, which adds up. Is there a way to request a sensor reading, then later on poll for that reading? I would like to loop through them all and get them sensing, then return for the value later on. I cant use the interrupt pin on the board, as Im using purely I2C through Qwiic.
