Odd indentation for bulleted list under function parameter

It seems to me in the following example there shouldn't be a line break after opt(str)–. Could just be my ignorance, but I haven't found a way to do that. This is using make html and html_theme = 'sphinx_rtd_theme'

In my short investigation:
I got following doctree (from make pseudoxml). It seems the description of opt parameter is wrapped by paragraph node.

If there is bullet list, the paragraph is gone away. It might be related with the content of descriptions.

MEMO: I used following code to my investigation.
