POMs like spring-ws-security-1.5.8.pom and spring-ws-parent-1.5.8.pom contain references to external (non maven central) repositories, so they do not adhere to the rules for deploying artifacts to maven central repository (see "FAQ and common mistakes" in official "Guide to uploading artifacts to the Central Repository").

I know that this does not adhere to the rules of Maven Central, but I don't really like the alternatives either.

I'd rather have a POM that works out-of-the-box and does not adhere to the rules than one which does adhere to it, but requires a lot of manual downloading and maven install-file foo.

That said, we'll take a look at this for 2.0.
