Do op Startup Process

So you want to create a do-op?

The "anti-redundency, let's not duplicate effort" check

Look at the existing do-ops in the sidebar to the right, and make sure that there isn't already a group similar to what you want to do. If there is, please contact that group and see how to coordinate your efforts with them. If there's not already a team doing that work, or if you can't find a way to work with that team, then start your own do-op!

Creating Coherence

In order to effectively transform inputs into outputs, your do-op is going to need clarity about:

  • The intention of the group
  • Name of the Do-op
  • Inputs
  • Outputs
  • Participation Protocol (what does it take to enter the do-op, participate in the do-op, exit the do-op?)
  • Coherence holder(s)
  • Communication Channels (Are you holding meetings? When and where? Are you generating artifacts? Where?

Setting up your Do-op on the wiki (so everybody else knows you exist)
