Look at the existing do-ops in the sidebar to the right, and make sure that there isn't already a group similar to what you want to do. If there is, please contact that group and see how to coordinate your efforts with them. If there's not already a team doing that work, or if you can't find a way to work with that team, then start your own do-op!
In order to effectively transform inputs into outputs, your do-op is going to need clarity about:
- The intention of the group
- Name of the Do-op
- Inputs
- Outputs
- Participation Protocol (what does it take to enter the do-op, participate in the do-op, exit the do-op?)
- Coherence holder(s)
- Communication Channels (Are you holding meetings? When and where? Are you generating artifacts? Where?
- right click on the pen icon in the right sidebar and select "Open Link in New Window" (to edit the sidebar while being able to follow these instructions)
- Under the Do-ops section, add a new entry with your do-op name using this structure: - Our Do-op Name
- When you are finished, near the bottom, add an "edit message" like "updated sidebar with blah blah do op" and click save
- Go to the Do-op Template.
- click the edit button on the upper right
- SELECT ALL of the text and COPY it
- go back to wiki
- In the right sidebar, click the link for your new do-op
- In the body, PASTE the text from the Do-op Template
- Fill in each section
- When you are finished add a comment like "created blahblah Do op" and click save
